Developed in collaboration with La Calle Real, the Waste Management initiative is a low-cost, community-driven solution to a growing problem: plastic and glass waste with nowhere to go. Without formal collection or recycling systems in remote towns, waste piles up in informal landfills and on roadsides and is often burned as a last resort, creating health risks and pollution. Our team is currently working with community members to turn plastic waste into safe, reusable, and even income-generating products.
